Hello Bali! When planning the trip we specifically built in a few days on Bali to unwind after India. That’s exactly what we did.

We spent our first four days on Lembongan. It’s a small island (3x4km) off of the south east coast of Bali proper. We stayed in a perfect little bungalow called secret garden. We had our own space in the yard with a hammock and really cool outdoor bathroom. Since the beaches weren’t spectacular we spent the majority of our time hanging out on the lawn chairs.

We didn’t fly out of Bali until midnight but had to leave our little island first thing in the am. So we decided, at the suggestion of our hotel owner, to find a hotel with a pool and pay to hang out for the day. We somehow talked our way into a rather swanky place – they had two sets of security guards – and lazed around for the day.

I really can’t say that I’ve seen much of Bali considering I sat around the whole time I was there. I can say however that it was exactly what I had been hoping for.
