Mr. & Mrs. Vandebilt + kids

We only had a day in Perth before heading east to Melbourne but we enjoyed every second of it. After spending a year and three months in Asia it was a welcome change to be back in ‘western culture’.

We spent the day walking through kings park. The views were amazing. The sky was bright blue and you could see for miles up and down the river. The park was well kept and clean.

The funniest part about being out of Asia was how quickly I felt at home. Even though we are actually no where near Canada let alone PEI it felt like it was just around the corner. People were friendly, the streets quiet and clean and the air fresh. The only part that did seem out of place were the Christmas decorations. We had had no prior indication that Christmas was coming and when you couple that with the warm weather it felt like we were wandering through a theme park.

We will be back on the west coast in a few weeks. Hopefully we will get the chance to see more of what it has to offer.
