Mr. & Mrs. Vandebilt + kids

Cities are not what we came to Australia to see but we wanted to stop in and take a look at Sydney.

We immediately headed to the harbour. This is about one of the three things from around Australia that I would immediately recognize. We will see the other two in the next little bit. Unfortunately it was a bit rainy as we walked around the waterfront but it was still quite pleasant.

The opera house was different than what I expected but still nice. I suppose it’s because we always see pictures taken of it from the harbour that I wasn’t expecting to walk right up and into it. I always assumed it was quite exclusive but it’s really in the middle of the park.

We took a quick but good tour of Sydney government house. Their equivalent of Fanningbank. It was interesting to realize just how similar our governments are.

We only stayed in the city for a few hours but I liked what I saw. The park was beautiful as was the harbour. Seeing the Sydney opera house wasn’t so bad either.
