For those of you who are looking for a bit more of the details on our upcoming trip, we’ve decided to lay out almost all of our planning on here. One of the most frustrating things we found while doing the research for this massive vacation was that most people would talk about their destinations, but not about how they decided to go there, what they were going to do, how much it was going to cost or what they were going to take, and just exactly how they were planning on managing 4 months on the road. We’ve decided to try and add as many of those details on here – a warning – for those of you who aren’t planning a trip, this will probably be terrifyingly boring.
The budget for this trip to a long time to actually work out. Using guide books and the internet we have it narrowed down to the following. The total prices for each country includes the flights, visas, food, ground transportation, accommodation and any other foreseeable major expenses or activities in each country for 2 people. We’re doing this trip just about as cheaply as we can. We’ve decided to stay in hostels or take overnight trains whenever possible. We’ll be using public transportation and eating either from convenience stores, street stalls or cheap restaurants.
