Flying from Charlottetown to Ulsan is an all day ordeal – and by all day I mean 24 hours. It may take a long time, but the flying really isn’t as bad as I would have expected. Our flight itinerary was: Charlottetown – Toronto (6:00am Sunday) Toronto – Vancouver Vancouver – Seoul Seoul – Ulsan (7:40pm Monday) We lost 12 hours because of the international dateline, so we were in the air for almost 24 hours. The flying schedule was just about perfect, we had no more than 2 hour layover anywhere along the way and only one international connection. Some things to keep in mind if you are scheduling a major flight. When we arrived in Seoul, the airport was surprisingly deserted. Everything was very clean and efficient and all the signs were also in English. One thing I’ve definitely learned while traveling the little bit I have through SKorea, is that English is almost everywhere. We picked up our bags and headed through security. Apparently being a Canadian allows you to just waltz into the country. Unlike me, Jacob did not have a visa because he’s not working. The only question he was asked at customs was whether he was going to be a tourist, he responded yes and that was it. He can stay until February. We took a “limousine” from Incheon airport to Gimpo (the domestic airport). When they say limousine they really just mean a shuttle bus. For Dad and Kayla’s information, this was really simple and only cost about 6,500 won ($6.50). Checking in at Gimpo was also pretty smooth, one more security check and we were done.
