In true Canadian fashion, Jacob and I have spent the last 2.5 months holed up in our apartment trying to avoid winter. While winter may not have been as cold here as what we were used to, it was still just as miserable as I remembered. Korea has unfortunately not learned the art of insulation or indoor heating so we spent the majority of January and February shivering. Also, as my luck would have it, it snowed in Ulsan, twice, for the first time in 6 years. Fortunately though, the winter cold seems to have mostly subsided so we’ve started crawling out of our apartment to enjoy some more of Korea.
Although we spent the better part of the last few months hibernating we still have a few stories to tell. This should get everyone up to speed. I’ll also post some pictures from the past 3 months.
January was mostly spent continuing to celebrate. It included two birthdays (Johann and Carla), the arrival of a new friend (Elzemike), Christmas round 2 and 3 for us and the day I spent as a french teacher. February saw another birthday (Liezl), and a farewell to Carla. March brought Laura to Korea for a visit and Nollie and Wendy back to South Africa.
Time continues to fly by for us here, we’re well over halfway now with only 20 weeks left in the country. We’ve started making some more concrete plans for our travels after wards which is always exciting. Our social calendar seems to be picking up again now that the temperature has started to rise. Hopefully now that we have more to talk about we’ll keep the website more up to date.
