Happy New Year from Korea! I guess it’s better late than never. Obviously my resolution was not to be more punctual.
2009 was a short year for us since we lost about 12 hours or so in the time zone shuffle. However we’re still 2 years older than when we left. We gained a Korean year when we landed and another one at the new year. (See Korean age reckoning) Instead of singing Auld Lang Sine to ring in the new year party goers were all singing Happy Birthday in Korean!
Now we’re beginning our first whole year outside of Canada. 2010 should be an interesting year and we’re looking forward to it. I’m sure we will have plenty more stories to tell as this year progresses.
So I guess you’ll both have a longer year in 2011 when you come back home!
