Sunset Town

Because Phu Quoc decided to just be super strange, they’ve also build an entire village on the South West end of the island specifically for the sunset, named Sunset Town. It’s modelled after the Amalfi coast or at least Mediterranean inspired. It is complete with cobblestone streets, steep hills that fall away into the water, a replica of the colosseum (because, why not) and all of the streets have different Italian city names – Naples St, Venice St, etc.

We honestly weren’t sure what to expect from Sunset Town but we ended up being pleasantly surprised. We watched a Vietnamese water puppet show, wandered through the cobblestone streets, had some really great street food and ended the night with a fireworks show. Oh, and of course, we watched the sunset.
