Gosh it’s good to be back. We set off from Seoul Tuesday morning and made it to the hotel in Ulsan without any issues. We got checked into the hotel and everyone took some time to collect themselves after a few big days of travel. We are staying in Samsan-dong, pretty close to the train station and less than a km walk from the Lotte hotel area where we spent a ton of time when we lived here. After we got ourselves cleaned up we walked downtown.
We had no real plans other than seeing how much things have changed, whether our memories were accurate and getting some food. We wandered around behind the lotte hotel and stumbled upon a few of recognizable spots. Not surprisingly a lot has changed in the 15 years since we have been here.
We eventually found ourselves a K-BBQ restaurant, had some samgyeopsal and mekju before putting the kids in a taxi and getting everyone home to bed.
