Sun Diego

Thankfully everything had dried up and the weather was fairly cooperative for our time in San Diego. They had just gotten over some pretty serious flooding the week before we arrived. You could still smell and feel the damp in our Airbnb. Sometimes we get really nice places. Sometimes we get duped by some really strategic pictures. This one was the latter.

But like I said, we had great weather in San Diego so we were able to get out and catch some sun and see some sights. San Diego has approximately 1.5 dogs for every person. Now, this isn’t a verified statistic, but based on the amount of people with dogs we saw I would say it’s relatively accurate. It seems reasonable then that they would have a dedicated dog beach. We all know Roland loves nothing more than some time in the water so we headed over for his first dip in the pacific.

For our final day we headed to the old town and the downtown. We have learned that most cities have a pretty boring downtown – it’s really just a place people go to work. We have also learned that Americans love an old town. It’s a great way to collect tourists in one area and overcharge them for things. We had a great time wandering around both towns. The kids obviously had a blast on the bus.
